Harrison Blair, a native of Dallas,Tx is a dedicated advocate for Black-owned businesses,
non-profits and community development. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science
from Prairie View A&M University and a Master’s in Political Science from Texas State
University and has an Executive MBA from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist
University (SMU).
As President and CEO of the Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce—the nation’s first Black
chamber—Harrison leads efforts to support and advance Black-owned businesses and
non-profits across North Texas. His passion lies in fostering economic growth, advocating for
business development, and strengthening the nonprofit sector.
He represents the Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce as a member of the North Texas
Commission (NTC) and serves as the Interim Vice Chair of the Texas Association of African
American Chambers of Commerce (TAAACC). Additionally, he is a board member for the City of
Dallas District 4 Park & Recreation and previously served on the Mayor’s Star Council.
In his free time, Harrison supports his wife’s work as a resident artist with the Brierley Acting
Company at the Dallas Theater Center. Inspired by his grandfather, Bill Blair, and his father,
Jordan Blair—both devoted to improving Dallas—he is committed to continuing their legacy by
serving the Black community in Dallas, across Texas, and beyond.
