Gregory (Greg) M. Howison is a partner at Munck Wilson Mandala practicing in the technology/intellectual property law group. Greg is a registered U.S. Patent Attorney with over 44 years’ experience in intellectual property law. He specializes in the medical device, software, telecommunications, semiconductor industries and E-commerce and has prepared and obtained significant patent coverage on a number of large telecommunications networks, voice messaging systems, video conferencing systems, semiconductor devices, neural network systems and software systems.
Greg has also served as a consultant to companies (both patentees and licensees) involved in patent licensing negotiations in the U.S., Japan, and China. Greg has been lead counsel on numerous Inter Partes Reviews (IPR) before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) for both patent owners and petitioners. Prior to entering law school, Greg was employed for over nine years as a design engineer in the field of high-frequency communications, digital and analog design, including service with Westinghouse Defense Center, Texas Instruments, Inc. and Rockwell International.
