Capital Factory, Luis Martinez
Southwest Angel Network, Heather Gilker [tentative]

Luis Martinez, senior venture associate with Capital Factory. Luis serves as a startup mentor with Geekdom in San Antonio, TX; the Pioneer21 Venture Mentoring Program in El Paso, TX; and globally with MassChallenge and Techstars. Dr. Martinez was previously Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Trinity University. Through his work in industry, education, and now Capital Factory, Luis has guided 200+ entrepreneurs from early stage to successful exits across a wide range of industries and sectors. Heather Gilker is the North Texas Chapter Lead of SouthWest Angel Network (or SWAN) where she manages SWAN’s Philanthropic sidecar fund. She is also the founder and principal of Tokalon Advisors LLC. Heather has more than 25 years of experience in investing, community involvement, and strategy with a focus on sustainability. Prior to SWAN and Tokalon, Heather led Fidelity Family Office Services’ development for 8 years in the southwest. Other experience includes roles as an investment firm allocator, an equity analyst, and a commercial banker. She is a graduate of the Cox School of Business at SMU.
